Citizens United. The most expensive election in U.S. history. McCutcheon. Big money's corruption of our politics is so complete we can no longer deny: democracy is dead in America. Plutocracy has arrived.
The voices of the 99% don’t matter now: as long as this is true, our needs won’t count and real change won’t come.
From the nationwide March Against Corruption, to the statewide New Hampshire Rebellion, our movement for democracy's momentum is building. It's time to send a message of hope across the country to the millions of Americans who believe in our cause.
So, May 17th, we're gathering in Los Angeles to kick off a 480-mile march to Sacramento to demand the leaders of our nation’s largest state publicly acknowledge the crisis of corruption — and take immediate action to end it.
Here's how it'll go down:
We'll march 480 miles over the mountains and valleys of California. When we arrive at the state capitol June 22, we'll demand the legislature take the first formal vote for a national Constitutional Convention to outlaw big money corruption. We will, if necessary, nonviolently occupy the capitol until our demands are met.
