NY Students Demand #FairElex!

Money is drowning out the voice of the people and it’s time to take it back! Corporations have the ability to donate unlimited funds to politicians running for election and those already in office. Instead of listening to their constituents, politicians only have an ear for their corporate sponsors. We demand that a politician be voted into office because they have the support of the people not the money of a corporate agenda. Show your support for publicly financed and fair elections on May 14th!

Our protest will be held on the front steps of the New York City Public Library at the corner of 5th Ave and 41st St, New York, NY at 11:00am (arrive at 10:30am). Students will show how money in politics is corrupting New York State lawmakers and turning them against the people. It's time for Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature to pass Fair Elections and create real democracy!
